Why were the articles of confederations inadequate?
Article 2 limited national authority or power “Each state retains its sovereignty, freedom, and independence, and every Power, Jurisdiction and right, which is not by this confederation expressly delegated to the United States, in Congress assembled.” this was inadequate because it made it impossible to pass laws or impose taxes and there was no way to enforce the little authorities it did have.
