Why were the Active Network station coordinates updated in September 2004?

0

A. An error was discovered in the antenna phase centre centre offsets used in the original EUREF GB 2001 campaign to compute the Active station coordinates. This resulted in errors in the station heights. The EUREF GB 2001 campaign was reprocessed with correct antenna offsets and the new version was ratified by a resolution of the annual EUREF symposium. A detailed report on the likely effects of the errors is available in PDF format here. To get a link to download Adobe® Acrobat® Reader.
