Why were some Asian coutries banned migration to America but not African?
I like that everyone tried to guess….but this is the actual reason. I gave you a link so you can read more on it. Asian were banned from the country for a limited time period because they were profiting from the California Gold Rush much more than Americans. American temporally banned Asian immigration so that Americans who had already settled in America could benefit from the fruits of our land. The ban was never intended to last as long as they did. Slavery had already ended by this time. Though obviously there was still heavy discrimination. When the ban ended isw debateable.
