Why were “Mysterious Ways”, “One” and “Pride” left out of the Boston Elevation DVD?
“Mysterious Ways”, “One” and “Pride” were left off the Boston Elevation DVD due to space constraints on the DVD format. Removal of these songs allowed the inclusion of both a PCM 2.0 (Normal Stereo) and a Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack on the DVD. The band wanted to provide fans with the Dolby soundtrack, so that fans could enjoy the enhanced experience. They did not want to cut down on the quality of the stereo soundtrack to accomplish this, and made the choice to cut songs from the concert instead. Ned O’Hanlon of Dreamchaser Productions, who produced the video, had the following to say: “Regarding the missing tracks. I’ve noticed quite a few comments about this on-line. A simple decision in the end. Space on the disc is the culprit. The band wanted PCM stereo for Disc 1 and this takes a huge amount of space.
