Why were exceedingly long words created if nobody ever really uses them?
Maybe at that time the words were created, long words were popular and whoever talked with long words could show their “superior” intellect. Today, some people may use these words to make others feel inferior. it’s kind of like the “thou art something, I beseech you” or something like that from Shakespeare’s time, we don’t use it anymore, but at that time, the speech was popular.
