Why were changes made to the Exempt compensation model?
A. A revised compensation model was introduced for exempt staff in 2006 with a commitment to review the model on an annual basis in order to ensure the competitiveness and financial sustainability of the compensation system over the long term and to ensure its continued alignment with the compensation principles set out by the university. The recommended changes for 2011 continue to support our strategy of maintaining market based competitiveness and our goal of recruiting, retaining and building capacity of staff to support the University’s strategic directions.
