Why we should legalise cannabis?
Here’s a list of reasons cannabis should be legalised, off the top of my head (I might add that I don’t even use the stuff, but I still think it should be legalised): -It’s illogical for cannabis to be illegal when a more dangerous and damaging drug (alcohol) remains legal. -Legalising cannabis would free up police time and resources, which could then be used to tackle the manufacture, distribution, sale and consumption of genuinely dangerous drugs. -If cannabis were legal it would take an everyday trade out of the hands of criminals, and put it somewhere it can be fully tracked and licensed (newsagents, off-licences etc). -If cannabis were legal, then the government could keep tabs on the quality and strength of the drugs being sold. -The fact that cannabis is illegal doesn’t seem to have had any effect on the amount sold and used (it remains very, very widespread). -If people could buy quality cannabis from a shop then they’d have no contact with drug dealers, so they’d be a lot less
