Why we dont send a manned space mission to mars?

They’re currently working on several projects that will eventually lead to the “active components” of a manned mission to Mars… Sustained space travel for months without a shuttle supply ship to keep it going like the Space Station has is proving to be a pretty difficult task to achieve, but… We’re getting close…(And I think the future of space travel is in the area of “private enterprise” rather than government sponsored efforts, but we know damn well that our government will always have a “hidden stake investment” in any private enterprise successes as we begin the long and arduous task of planetary colonization…

There are too many risks at this point, I think. They need to work out more flaws in their technology. If a trip were offered to mars at this point, I would not feel that there would be a good enough chance that I could come back to earth alive.

To reach Mars from Earth, it would take over9000 months for a shuttle crew to travel from our planet to Mars. In our current state of technology, we lack the proper equipment and preparation required to make the journey.

Same reason why we don’t send a manned mission to Uranus.
