Why wasnt WW1 the war to end all wars?
Wow! GCSE History comes in hand: It wasn’t the war to end all wars because the peace settlements. The Germans were treated so unfairly, there was bound to be someone like Hitler who would take out revenge. He learned that from the way the Turks refused their punishment and even dealt out their own punishment (wierd). The Germans were forced to pay (they never ended up paying it though) 123 billion marks. The war was blamed on them. Teritory was lost. They became the most hated nation in the world and the world was not going easy on them. It was actually Central versus Allied (Entente). The reason why WW 1 started was because of high nationalism, and poor relations between the two opposing sides.
