Why wasn it the alliance system the main cause of the first world war?
it was, although different people will tell you different answers i think most people agree that the main causes of WWI were the allignces, preexciting rivialies, the balkan crisis (the trigger cause) and europes “want” for a war (everyone thought the war would be over by xmas and they would be the winner and therefore be better and such).
