0

The age of philosophers didn’t actually occured during the Zhou dynasty,it occured during the Spring and Autumn period, although tecnically the Zhou kingdom was still holding the mandate of heaven at that time. The Spring and Autumn era (685 B.C.–403 B.C.) was known to be an era where people are free to embrace any kind of philosophy they wanted, they were free to spread their ideas across the states of China. The ideologies that rose during these era are Confucianism,Mohism, and Taoism.New ideologies rises as China reaches the period of Warring states (403 B.C.–221 B.C.),where Legalism and Mencius ideas started to spread across China.
