Why was WorldconneX created and how did it get started?
Based on the recommendations of the Missions Review and Initiative Committee (MRIC) of the Baptist General Convention of Texas (BGCT), messengers at the annual meeting in 2003 voted to create WorldconneX as a missions network to discover and to design new ways of doing missions in the 21st century. WorldconneX was incorporated with the State of Texas in October 2003 and launched in January 2004.
