Why was there a showdown between Barney Frank and a Harvard law student?
There’s video! WFXT-TV: It all started with a question: “How much responsibility, if any, do you have for the financial crisis?” Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) and a conservative Harvard law student debated over how Frank should have handled his role as the House Chairman of the Financial Services Committee. Frank was at Harvard University for a speech at the Kennedy School of Government. Frank said the student wasn’t backing up his claims, invoking some laughter from the crowd, and the student told Frank he wasn’t answering his question. There was a showdown yesterday on Harvard’s campus between Congressman Barney Frank and a Harvard law student. Congressman Frank was giving a speech at the Kennedy School of Government, and while he was taking questions from the audience, a student confronted the congressman about the extent of his role in the financial crisis.Barney Frank couldn’t have made a bigger fool of himself if he tried. He rivaled Joe Biden and in this case I believe surpassed him. This is the character that is chairman of the Financial Services Committee. One of the Mickey Mouse (no offense meant to Mickey Mouse) guys that believes he knows best. Obama wants to take over private companies and decide private sector policies with a bunch of irresponsible, unaccountable, inept clowns. I was watching Van Susteren last night when this was on and couldn’t help laughing. But make no mistake, what we have running this country today is no laughing matter.
