Why was there a need to start North Sunflower Medical Foundation?
North Sunflower Medical Center has been in good financial health for several years, but it has not always been financially stable. The bottom line has looked good for NSMC in the recent years, but it must be remembered that, as a nonprofit hospital, any revenues in excess of operational expenses are put back into the hospital and community. Economic pressures are constantly being placed on NSMC, which drain precious dollars needed to buy medical equipment, upgrade services, expand programs and maintain excellence in patient care. North Sunflower Medical Foundation wants to ensure that the excellence in patient care continues for the future generations. The Foundations purpose is to provide a separate nonprofit entity that will provide support for your healthcare. North Sunflower Medical Foundation provides a mechanism for generating community support.
