Why was there a 2.5.0.2 version of Azureus released after version 3?
2.5.0.2 was something that had been around for a while (in the form of 2.5.0.1 betas). During the four and a half months between the release of 2.5.0.0 and 2.5.0.2, we released beta versions of Vuze (which was then known as Azureus 3). The core code for those releases is the same as some of the 2.5.0.1 beta versions. We finally released version 2.5.0.2 in mid January 2007 – future major releases of Azureus will now be numbered from version 3 onwards to avoid confusion – both Vuze and Azureus have the same codebase, so they will have the same version numbers in future.
