Why was the triangular shape chosen for the shaft design?
Form follows function. This shape provides the ideal torsion rigidity to help control the shot without sacrificing distance. The energy of the shaft is focused along the edges of the shaft to give you excellent feel and shot results. In todays world of large headed drivers that put added stress on the shaft, the ability to lessen the twisting of the clubhead and to transfer the energy to the ball is incredibly important to minimizing shot dispersion. Our shaft is the first non-cylindrical shaft approved by the USGA.
