In 1999 an Operations and Efficiencies Task Force organized a subcommittee to review, analyze and make recommendations on the costs and efficiency of transportation services. In January of 2000 the subcommittee consisting of community members recommended a walk policy for subdivisions that were adjacent to elementary schools.
