Why was the russian revolution such a key event in world history?
Actually, I am sure it was such a key event in world history. The Russian Revolution not only affected the future of Russia for the people of that Republic, but also the people of the other Republics that became part of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (Karelo-Finnish, Kazakh, Uzbek, Turkmen, Tadjik, Kirghiz, Azerbaidzhan, Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine, Moldavia, Belorussia, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia). The Russian Revolution produced the first republic governed by State Socialism. The Russia Revolution gave rise to the Comintern, which would influence over 70 other communist and socialist parties. The defeat of European fascism was also due to the Soviet Union, and its co-operation with the other Western allies.
