Why was the rosetta stone so important to understandig ancient egypt?
The rosetta stone which was found in Egypt contained a story in 3 different languages: Ancient greek, phoenican, and one language that scientists didn’t know. Since they did know ancient greek and phoenican, they figured out the ancient egyptian hyroglyphics, therefore they were now able to understand ancient egypt’s language.
