Why was the nazi party more popular when hitler was released from jail?
Hitler became the leader of Germany through the parliamentary electoral system. In the elections, Hitler’s party, the National Socialist Workers’ Party, won the largest number of seats in the parliament (though not a majority of all seats). Since Hitler was the leader of that party, he was appointed by the President as Chancellor (a position similar to Prime Minister).
