Why was the Longreach Bay site chosen for development?

0

The Longreach Bay (also referred to as Mt Herschel) site was identified in the 2004 Rottnest Island Taskforce Report as the most appropriate site for a development of this type. It incorporates a 20 hectare site between Geordie and Longreach Bays. The site has had long-term previous use and is partly bituminised. The developer is being offered 4 hectares of the site. The remainder will be retained by the RIA and regenerated with native vegetation.
