The Hare Krishna Society was formed to fulfill the purposes of Srila Prabhupada’s mission . Srila Prabhupada encourages that his disciples organize preaching for the sake of spreading Krishna consciouness to every town and village. Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura and Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura have similarly encouraged organized societies of devotees for preaching the mission of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu.
