The Consortium for Street Children (CSC) was founded in 1993, with the aim to create a central hub for organisations based in the UK, often working through local partners in various countries, to reach and support street children. The underpinning idea of the establishment of CSC was that ‘together we are stronger’. Since then CSC has grown into a wide network of organisations working with street children, and has recently gone through some exciting new developments (opening up membership to non-UK based organisations in 2009, rebranding, and new website), but the underpinning premise remains the same. By coming together to share best practice and influence decision-makers with a united voice we are more capable of amplifying the voices, rights and concerns of street children worldwide.
