Why was the Code written by APPCA members?
It’s important to think of the committee members as Personal Chefs, first and foremost. Given the sometimes turbulent history of the Personal Chef industry, we felt it was important to provide as nurturing an environment as possible for fleshing out the code. Our goal is to revise the Code with input from as many Personal Chefs as possible as soon as is practicable. As you review the code, you will see that it is all about the individual chef, the manner in which they run their business, and the relationship they have with their clients. We made it clear from the outset that this was in NO WAY intended to be a support mechanism for any association.
