Camera companies are CONSTANTLY upgrading models with more and more “features” (of questionable value ) and more Mega pixels (of very little value). The S10 will be replaced with another camera probably with 12 MP and a few new convenience features. Shop around, you can probably find a store carrying them on clearance for a great price (closer to $100 or less compared to nearly $200). The S10 is a very nice snapshot camera with an incredibly thin profile. My son (12) saved up his Christmas and birthday money and got one early this year for $150 and he really likes it. The pictures and videos are very good and it easily fits in a shirt pocket even with a carrying case. Hint, buy a couple of extra batteries (ebay), an external charger (ebay) and at least one extra SD card (local sales ads) and you will be set for any occasion.
