Why was the Blackhawk Foundation established?
The Blackhawk Foundation has been created to support the educational programs and projects of the Blackhawk School district. The Foundation will provide funds beyond the normal operating budget for programs and activities that will enhance learning opportunities for students, encourage teachers to explore ways of expanding their students’ worlds of learning and provide a vital link between the community and the classroom. The Foundation also will serve as a trustee for various memorial funds that are or may be established in the future, which will provide scholarship opportunities to our students.
