Why was romeo and juliet famous?
Romeo and Juliet were ficticous characters in a play. The reason that their characters became famous is because their love could not be denied. Even though their families were both against their love, they were not willing to give up on each other. They were even willing to die rather than live apart. A love that strong is hard to find and people longed for it. They play was a tragedy because in the end they both died needlessly and it was because of the families unwillingness to allow the union.
