Why was Ray Rice was not seduced by the charms of Lambeau Field?
I’ve never been to Lambeau Field myself, but I’ve heard the same things everyone else has: that it’s a unique monument to football, that it’s unlike any other place in the league, that it has a quaint, small-town charm, etc. Everyone who visits adores the place. Except Ray Rice(notes). The Baltimore Ravens running back didn’t have much nice to say about Green Bay or Lambeau Field after losing last night’s game. “To be honest with you, it was just Lambeau Field,” he said. “I didn’t see anything special. They put us in the middle of nowhere and it’s not a real exciting place. “Everything about this place is terrible, to be honest with you.” It’s too bad Ray sees it that way, but really, how many times does your experience in a place color your perceptions of that place?
