Why was Pleasant Lea Middle School selected for a remodeling project?
Work at Pleasant Lea Middle School would include remodeling of portions of the teacher planning center and student guidance office to provide enhanced work space for teacher collaboration and student guidance services. The project is designed to improve the overall access and efficiency of the entire front office, mailroom and teacher work room and will also upgrade existing staff restrooms and provide additional restroom space. Overall, the project provides parity with the district’s other two middle schools at PLMS, initially constructed in 1971. Project cost is estimated at $250,000.
