Why was parliment to blame for the british civil war?
Parliament was not to blame for the English Civil War the King , Charles I of England must bear the blame, he was autocratic, rode roughshod over Parliament dissolving it when he could not get his way , arresting members of the house, he would not compromise , he believed in the divine right of Kings to rule At the end of the civil war it was Charles scheming and plotting that brought about his execution
