Afterlife was very important for ancient Egyptians because it assured the eternal life and Osiris played and important role in it because he was the judge of the death so Anubis weighed the heart of the dead against the feather symbol of Ma’at if the heart was heavier than the feather the dead person would be eaten by a monster but if the feather was heavier tha the heart then Osiris welcomed the recently deceased to their new world: eternal life.
