Why was NMTAmath.com started?
NMTAmath.com was founded by JD Fekula, a professional tutor with over 15 years of tutoring experience. In the course of his tutoring, he met many potential teachers who came to him because they simply could not pass the NMTA Basic Skills Mathematics. One of the biggest complaints he heard from his students was that there were not enough practice tests to prepare for the NMTA Basic Skills Mathematics. Worse yet, the practice tests that were available did not accurately reflect the real test. Because of this he created tests to give to his students to help them prepare. The tests were so well-regarded that he started getting requests for these tests from people he didn’t even tutor! That’s when it was decided that the best way to get those practice tests into the hands of the people that needed them most was to create this website.
