Why was my bid not place eventhough my bid price was higher than the winning bid, my bid is not listed in the bid history, and I never received an email notice?
Your bid was attempted but rejected by ebay because at the time your bid was placed, your bid did not meet the the minimum bid. The minimum bid price is determined by adding a minimum bid increment (specified by ebay at Required Minimum Bid Increment) to the current high bid. When your bid is rejected by ebay, it will not be listed in the bid history page. Our system updates the bid prices once every hour and then every 10 minutes for the last hour of the auction. If our system determines that your configured bid is not high enough to meet the minimum bid, then an email is sent. If the winning bids were placed within the last 10 minutes of the auction, then no email will be sent.
