Why was Kevin Harvick suspended at Martinsville?
Simply put, he got too big for his britches. His on-track antics were one thing, but when Harvick thought he was bigger than the sport, NASCAR pulled the trigger. It was time to bring Harvick down a notch. He showed his rear end with NASCAR and they put an end to it. Harvick’s ego had him in trouble with his own team, and he was not making many friends. When the incident with Greg Biffle at Bristol occurred, NASCAR was not amused. Then, after the incident in the truck race at Martinsville, NASCAR parked him. He made an ass of himself with NASCAR, and they had no sense of humor. You don’t pull on Superman’s cape, and you do not thumb your nose at NASCAR. NASCAR parked him in hopes his ego would shrink and he would learn who was boss. Ultimately, this might have been the most positive thing to happen to Harvick’s career.
