THE family of a man shot dead in the car park of a doctor’s surgery said his murder had ‘collapsed the world around us’. Junaid Khan, 21, died from multiple gunshot wounds after he was targeted in Chadderton, near Oldham. Police said Mr Khan was gunned down from behind and shot again at close range with an automatic weapon as he lay on the ground on Thursday. In a statement issued by police today, the victim’s relatives described him as a ‘very trusting person’. “Junaid was respectful, loving and caring. He was a much-loved son, brother and uncle,” the family said. “His death has collapsed the world around us. He was always there, always there for everyone around him and he was always there to support us. Memories “Without a goodbye he slipped away, but memories of him will always stay.” Police want to hear from anyone with information, specifically about a silver Mitsubishi Shogun seen in the area around the time of the shooting of Mr Khan, from Cotton Mill Crescent, Oldham at 12.10am
Police have revealed details of how a man was gunned down from behind and shot at close range on the floor in the early hours of Thursday morning. Murder victim Junaid Khan was killed by an automatic weapon in the car park of a doctor’s surgery in Chadderton, Greater Manchester. Detectives want to hear from anyone who may know about a silver Mitsubishi Shogun, which was seen in the area around the time Mr Khan was shot. The 4×4 was found on fire in the a car park near to the Akora Steakhouse in Chadderton not long after the murder. The officer leading the investigation, Detective Superintedent Julian Ross, said: “I know a number of people went down to the car park following the shooting and I would urge them to speak to police they haven’t already.” He added “No-one deserves to die like this and my priority is to find the people responsible for this murder.” Police are also investigating a possible link between Mr Khan’s murder and the death of Nasa Hussain on Saturday night.
