Why was John on the Isle of Patmos?
John was out there on the Isle of Patmos to hear and to see a Vision. That s what this man s purpose was. John was to confirm what Moses had said about the Creation and about history, and about the things that had already been in the past. The Messiah told the Disciples … His Apostles this. He said … the Devil will put some of you into prison, and some of you, he will put to death. But the Messiah said: “Be thou faithful unto death and I will give thee a crown of Life (Rev. 2:10).” When He told each one of them what was going to befall them before He ascended, there was one man there [Peter], who wanted to know about John (John 20:20-21).
