Why was John Buonomo recently arrested in Boston Mass?
Boston, Massachusetts (The Weekly Vice) — John Buonomo, a 56 year old elected Register of Probate for Middlesex County has been arrested and charged with stealing thousands of dollars from a copy and cash machines after prosecutors say he was video taped committing the alleged thefts. According to prosecutors, Buonomo has been charged with 18 felony counts of breaking and entering into a depository, 8 felony counts of theft of public property by a city/town/county officer and 8 counts of larceny. Authorities say Buonomo was arrested on Wednesday after a three month investigation that began when the Registry of Deeds began noticing thousands of dollars in shortages of receipts from it’s copy and cash machines. Investigators set up surveillance cameras in attempt to identify why the shortages were occurring and who was responsible for them.
