Why was it OK when Nixon bowed to Japanese Emperor Hirohito?
I remember transferring the film to tape, and he (NIXON) DID bow, although I don’t think it was at the same encounter. I worked in television news in those days. So have lots of other Presidents and high-ranking officials, and not merely to Emperors and Kings. This is not only not a big deal, it means nothing…like most of what scum like “the three stooges” spew. The whole “issue” is another tired straw man/red herring, manufactured by the cowards of the neo-Nazi ultra-right for the purpose of furthering their overall agenda of slandering the President and belittling everything he does. It isn’t a “lie”, so it’s perhaps more ethical than the rest of what the Nazi right (and yes, dimwits, Nazis ARE right wingers, and always were, read the books!) blabbers about and uses to defraud the public.
