Why was it called Pork Chop Hill?

Actually it was Hill 255 before having the name changed to Pork Chop Hill, because of its contour lines. My father fought on Pork Chop Hill. He served in the military when he was too young and had me when he was older. My mom said he wasn’t the same after fighting in that war. He never talked much about his time on that hill. I had to read about it, or watch the old movie with Gregory Peck. While studying history, I had discovered that the Vietnam War had a famous hill too. Hamburger Hill. But it was not named because of its shape. It was named because that’s what the soldiers looked like after fighting on it.
