Why was I admited for the January 2012 semester when I applied for September 2011?
This was the most competitive year ever for admission to Boston University. We received a record-breaking 42,000 applications for an incoming freshman class of 4,000 students. To be able to offer admission to students who are qualified and whom we feel will excel at BU, we selected a small group to offer admission in January.
