Why was amendment 18 put into affect?
The 18th Amendment to the american constitution was a ban on alcoholic beverages. The organized crime syndicate became a popular choice, as employer. The most revered albeit revolting of gangsters was Al Capone. Capone was an intoxicating little guy who had buddies named ‘All Thumbs’, ‘Crooked Nose’, etc. It can be said that Capone rarely walked and always carried a big baseball bat. Rumor has it: he got his training while attending business school with the Baltimore Orioles. Elliot Ness amongst many other american and canadian police were funded by the government and a clandestine meeting of corporate well-knowns (Chrysler, Mattel, ETC). The next amendment to be passed, 21st, was a reversal of the 18th Amendment.
