Why wait two weeks before re-plastering?
As part of the processes & materials that we use it is highly recommended that a period of time expires between the installation of a Chemical Damp Proof Course (CDPC) and the re-plastering process. This enables the chemical within the CDPC to disperse the active ingredients within the cream effectively throughout the mortar. Also initial decoration should not be applied within 14 days of the finish plaster coat and should only be limited to a water vapour permeable coating similar to matt vinyl emulsion paints.
