It’ll be because it’s a diesel. They’re more economical, and with the price of petrol in this country people are looking at buying diesels. It’s all supply and demand. When the demand goes up and so does the price.

Because the petrols are rubbish and expensive to run. The diesel verson is better, just, and much cheaper to run – fuel costs.
