Why vampires? Are werewolves too hairy to make good lovers?
I think there are many more women apt to disagree with you today in the vampire vs. werewolf debate. The Twilight: New Moon film has converted a ton of female hearts to preferring the werewolf Jacob as the perfect lifelong partner over the vampire Edward. (And just for the record, Jacob is not exactly a werewolf; he’s more specifically a shape shifter.)
Why? Though Bella may realize she loves Edward more than Jacob after much internal struggle, the love that a werewolf will have for his soul mate is written in the stars – it’s destiny and a sure thing. The werewolves in Twilight go through a process called "imprinting" when they find their soul mate. Imprinting happens naturally and automatically when the werewolf meets their true love. Their bodies and hearts just know. Once having imprinted on someone, that werewolf is bound to their soul mate for life. They exist only for their partner. This type of uninhibited love and complete devotion is very hard to find and many women find it very romantic. Many are starting to prefer the werewolf to the vampire.
Plus, they are not hairy in their human forms.
