Why use XPackIt for IIS when HTTP 1.1 encoding compression can be used?

HTTP 1.1 has some limitations that XPackIt seeks to circumvent. HTTP 1.1 compressions can only be used when Proxy servers support HTTP 1.1 compression. With XPackIt, the proxy doesn’t need to know that the payload is compressed. Secondly, XPackIt doesn’t need to rely on the browser for decompression. This allows PDFs to be compressed with XPackIt where they can’t be with HTTP 1.1 compression.
