Why use Westland Golden Pine Bark?
Westland Golden Pine Bark is perfect for decoratively mulching low maintenance patio planters or containers & window boxes. It reduces the need for frequent weeding and minimises weeding time. It also helps to conserve soil water and provide thermal insulation for plant roots. How do I use it? For use on existing patio planters & containers, prepare the area by removing all weeds & debris. Leave a 5-7cm space at the top of the planter/container. Spread a layer of bark 3-5cm deep over the top of the compost or soil. This will provide important thermal insulation, prevent water loss and make the planters/containers easier to water. For use in pots & window boxes, prepare the area by removing all weeds and debris.
