Why use the term, Warrior, to define an initiated man?
We chose the term, Warrior, intentionally because of the image it evokes. We do not see a Warrior as someone who is war-like or violent; that would more accurately decribe a soldier .In contrast, the Warrioris a man who is courageous, wise, resilent, powerful and fierce when necessary – in defending himself …his beliefs and those he loves. As well , he is a man who has learned , through enormos work, to transform his suffering into wisdom. 2. What does initiation mean? Initiation is the process of growing up and changing one’s past relationships to one’s family. It’s about becoming an adult and letting go of the need to remain a boy (and thus disempowered) in the eyes of his family, and in particular, his parents.
