People who think that simply putting our navy in mothballs will solve all the world’s ills are as foolish as Bush thinking that bombing Auschwitz would save Jews. No one has said we need to put our navy in mothballs. (But if I had, guess that would make me anti-semitic, by your argument?) And no one is pretending that everything will be peace and light if the U.S. reigns in its imperial forces. You still have not answered my question about what threat from whom necessitates our military “protecting our oil”.
