Why use overhead hydraulic cylinders?
With over 1000 machines installed worldwide, Jomar know that overhead hydraulic cylinders give the best engineering solution for the movement and clamping of both the preform and blow mould platens. This offers direct clamping pressure to the moulds, where it matters, and with the Jomar designed floating platen system, there are no side loads applied to the clamping cylinders. This virtually eliminates seal wear and the potential for leakage. Tooling alignment is maintained by the die set -not the clamp for less mould wear.
