As you talk and pick out the key words to sign (the words that are of most importance to your child), your child is getting the best possible input from you to assist with their getting started with communicating their needs, emotions and comprehension. Your baby is listening to what you are saying, watching your hands , watching your facial expression, body language and tone of voice. All of these things help your baby to understand and learn.
